What are API Tokens?
API tokens are machine-to-machine credentials that let automated systems authenticate with the ATLAS API. Use them for: CI/CD pipelines that register capabilities on deploy, provisioning services that configure Kong or agentgateway, monitoring scripts that poll health endpoints, and external integrations that read the catalog. Each token has scoped permissions — only grant the scopes a token actually needs. Tokens can be revoked at any time without affecting other tokens.
